"Braniston" returns! Us Weekly reports that Brad Pitt has joined the cast of Sean Penn's live, virtual table read of the iconic 1982 comedy he starred in, Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Penn announced last week that the reading would feature Pitt's first ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, as well as Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Shia LaBeouf, Dane Cook, and Henry Golding. The event will be streamed on Facebook Live and TikTok this coming Friday night starting at 8 p.m.
ET and will serve as a fundraiser for two different nonprofits: CORE, which is providing emergency relief amid the coronavirus pandemic, and the REFORM Alliance, which works for criminal justice reform.
Pitt and Aniston practically broke the internet earlier this year when they ran into each other backstage after both winning trophies at the SAG Awards.
Meanwhile, Penn said last week that he won't be reprising his Fast Times role of surfing stoner Jeff Spicoli at the event; as anyone who's seen Pitt's work in the cult flickTrue Romance knows, Pitt would be perfect for the part.
