Ryan Seacrest Didn’t Suffer Stroke During Live "American Idol" Finale

Toward the end of Sunday's American Idol season finale, People reports that host Ryan Seacrest's words became slightly slurred, while his right eye appeared larger than his left.

The choppy sequence led some on Twitter to wonder whether Seacrest had experienced some sort of neurological episode during the remote telecast--a claim that gained traction when Seacrest took Monday morning off from Live With Kelly and Ryan.

But his rep tells People that "Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night," adding, "Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home. Between Live With Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling three to four on-air jobs over the last few weeks and he’s in need of rest. So today he took a well-deserved day off."
