Lizzo Accused Of Plagiarism Again Over Line From "Truth Hurts"

Lizzo has been accused of stealing the most famous line from her song "Truth Hurts" a second time Jezebel reports. The line in question is "I just took a DNA test/Turns out, I’m 100 percent that b**ch.”

Now, songwriter and producer Justin Raisen claims he wrote the lyric in 2017 for a song called “Healthy,” with Lizzo and two other writers. He says Lizzo lifted the lyrics without giving him credit or compensation.

Raisen said he put the song "in dispute in 2017," and since has "tried to sort this out quietly for the last two years, only asking for 5% each but were shutdown every time.”

Raisen posted a mashup of the two songs on Instagram, as well as a video he claims was taken the day he wrote “Healthy,” and the songs do have similarities. In another twist, Raisen credits first accuser British musician Mina Lioness for inspiring the lyric.

Lioness said she tweeted the line in 2017. Lizzo said at the time the lyric was inspired by an Instagram meme that said “I’m 100% that b**ch.”
