Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, recently confirmed that "a lot" of women with roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have mentioned an all-woman film to studio chief Kevin Feige.
Variety reports that Larson said, "We were like, ‘We are in this together, we want to do this.'" However, she doesn't know what the future holds for such a project. "I feel like if enough people out in the world talk about how much they want it, maybe it’ll happen," she said.
There's one Avengers: Endgame scene that included almost all of the female characters, and Larson said filming that day was great. "A lot of the time women aren’t working together," she explained. "It’s kind of been this new breath of fresh air for us in our industry."
