Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos revealed on Monday’s episode of Live that their daughter received an awful birthday gift over the weekend: catching her parents in an intimate moment.
During the show, the couple revealed that daughter Lola’s 18th birthday got off to a rough start on Sunday when she walked in on her parents.
“I’m going to be honest: I was not in the mood,” Ripa admitted, noting that her in-laws and three children were downstairs preparing for family brunch. “There was a house full of people…my in-laws were waiting to eat!”
After Consuelos joked that he could tell his wife was “going through the motions,” Ripa went on to explain, "She shuts the door and you hear, 'You just ruined my birthday! And my life! And I used to see in color and now everything is gray!’”
Things got more awkward over breakfast, when the couple noted that the food was “delicious,” and Lola told her parents they were “disgusting.” “She goes, ‘You guys have no chill. You think you’re 20, but you’re not,’” Consuelos recalled.
