Kim Kardashian Gets Standing Ovation At White House

Kim Kardashian West received a standing ovation at the White House on Thursday, after giving a speech on prison reform.

According to The Blast, Kardashian was at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the unveiling of the recently passed First Step (Formerly Incarcerated Reenter Society Transformed Safely Transitioning Every Person) Act.

President Donald Trump was on hand to introduce the reality star-turned-law student, calling her a "good person" and one of the "most successful people in the entertainment business." He also described her husband Kanye West as "a real friend of mine."

After praising Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner for their assistance on the prison reform project, Kardashian announced a new ride share program with Lyft that will allow formerly incarcerated people to use gift cards for transportation to job interviews, work and to visit family. She said, "the ultimate goal is everyone wants the community to be safe."
