Zac Efron quietly started following Selena Gomez on Instagram this week.
Right before that, he shared a birthday post dedicated to his brother--which appears to actually be a thirst trap in disguise, given that Efron is shirtless in it.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice and begin buzzing about how cute Efron and Gomez would be as a couple. "I always wanted them to get together. Can 2019 bless us?" one tweeted.
Another wrote, "He would be an awesome and real man for her."
Elle notes that Efron and Gomez worked together on Neighbors 2 . He talked about the experience on Entertainment Tonight in 2016, calling her "awesome" and "super talented."
