The Oregon Humane Society is back to pre-pandemic levels of adoptions.
In 2024, there were 11,910 adoptions which is the highest number since 2019.
The last adoptions of 2024 happened on New Year's Eve. A ten-year-old brown tabby cat was adopted from the Humane Society's Salem Campus and a three-month-old pitbull puppy was the last adoption of the year at the Portland campus.
