Suspects Arrested In Oak Grove Cold Case Murder

Two suspects have been arrested in a 2009 murder in Oak Grove.

Two men forced their way into an apartment and fatally shot 28-year-old Joseph Haley. Haley's two roommates witnessed the shooting, but they weren't injured. The suspects fled.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Unit, the Sheriff's Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit, the Clackamas County Inter-Agency Task Force and the Oregon Department of Justice helped develop new information that took 16 months to investigate.

They arrested 34-year-old Kevin Schwartz and 38-year-old George Robins. Schwartz is charged with Murder One. Robins is charged with Murder Two.

They're being held in the Clackamas County Jail without bail.

"I am extremely proud of the all of the investigators' work on this case, and as a team we hope these arrests bring a measure of closure to Joseph Haley's family," said Sheriff's Office Detective Sgt. Jesse Ashby.
