Jerry Harris, the optimistic breakout star of Netflix's 'Cheer' docuseries, was arrested for child pornography.
Jerry was arrested Thursday morning in Illinois for production of child pornography. He was already under an FBI investigation for allegedly soliciting minors for sex in May 2019. TMZ is reporting the criminal complaint says Jerry asked teens for photos, which they sent.
Sadly, there's more. Both of Jerry's alleged victims are suing him, claiming he groomed them into sending the explicit photos and demanded sexual acts.
Jerry is set to appear in federal court in Chicago this afternoon.
The alleged victims are 14-year-old cheerleaders Charlie and Sam. Watch their interview with USA Today below.
Fans never expected something like this from Jerry. I devoured "Cheer" and the inspirational lives of La'Darius, Morgan and Jerry, who have all overcome major adversity. Jerry was the optimist we cheered for because he constantly cheers on others. He quickly became a fan favorite when the docuseries hit Netflix.
