The suspect who was arrested Monday morning in connection with the shooting of two Portland Police officers last week is identified as 41-year-old Eric Oelkers.
He was identified based on one of the 240 tips police received.
U.S. Marshals helped to locate Oelkers on Northeast 82nd Avenue north of Columbia Boulevard. Police tactical teams took him into custody without incident. A gun was recovered nearby.
He's being held on several charges, including two felony counts of attempted murder.
One of the officers was released from the hospital last week. The other officer was released on Monday.
