GM Recalls 740K SUVs With "Blinding Headlights"

General Motors has announced a recall of 740,000 SUVs after determining their headlights are too bright. GM officials say the headlights of GMC Terrain SUVs, manufactured from 2010 through 2017, present a hazard because they can blind other motorists. Company officials say they'll mail repair instructions to Terrain owners on April 23rd. The announcement comes one day after U.S. safety regulators rejected a request from GM to skip the recall. How is this problem first being noticed now, 12 years after the first model was introduced?
