Lewis Capaldi's Funny Foul-Mouthed Speech at BRIT Awards, Gets Booed After

BRITs 2021 Crowd Boos Lewis Capaldi Amid Foul-Mouthed Speech Lewis Capaldi’s speech prior to giving the BRIT Award to Dua Lipa for Best Album was deemed the best part of the evening. Capaldi was muted several times during his speech for using the F-word. So what sent producers running for the mute button?

Here’s what Capaldi had to say. “Hello motherf***ers, I’m f***ing sweating. It’s like a swamp down there – sweaty bollocks.” After saying how great it was to be out of the house Capaldi turned to the year in music saying, “It’s been a great year for albums, most of all because I haven’t f***ing released one.”

The singer/songwriter later said “obviously, let’s also hope that Scotland win at the Euros,” which drew playful boos from sections of the crowd. Capaldi was quick the say, “I didn’t f***ing write it!”
