Major Airlines To Ban Emotional Support Animals

If you need to travel with your emotional support animal, you might want to start seeking out new modes of transportation. Following in the footsteps of Alaska Airlines and American Airlines, Delta and JetBlue are the latest major carriers to ban furry companions in the cabin after being given the green light from the US Department of Transportation (DOT) last month. David Garrison, S.V.P. of Corporate Safety and Security at Delta, cited "a nearly 85% increase in animal incidents since 2016, including urination, defecation and biting," as the reason for the decision, which takes effect Monday. Those who have trained service dogs will still be welcome in the friendly skies, so long as they carry proof of proper registration. What's the most unique emotional support animal you've encountered?
