Lana Del Rey Attacks Female Singers for Claiming She ‘Glamorizes Abuse’

Sights on Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Cardi B and more! Lana Del Rey is lashing out at female singers and fans for saying she “glamorizes abuse.” The singer posted a long Instagram message talking about how singers and songwriters blame her “minor lyrical exploration detailing my sometimes submissive or passive roles in my relationships” for “[setting] women back hundreds of years.” She continued saying that she’s honest and optimistic about her “challenging” relationships and says many women can relate. Lorde had previously mentioned during an interview with Fader in 2013 that after hearing Del Rey’s music she didn’t think the “don’t leave me” and “I’m nothing without you” messaging wasn’t good for young girls. What do you think? Does being submissive to a man or to a stronger woman make you weaker?
