Governor Announces New Guidance To Reopen Oregon Amid Coronavirus

Gov. Kate Brown Will Require Face Masks at Many Oregon Businesses

Today, Brown held a press conference and an update on what's to come. Employees of grocery stores, salons, pharmacies and other places where social-distancing cannot be achieved will now have to wear masks. State is also encouraging businesses to require customers to wear masks. Brown will allow some rural counties to reopen on May 15. She also plans to open summer camps and day care statewide. Concerts, sporting events with audiences, festival, fairs and other gatherings are to be canceled through September and can expect not to resume until there is a vaccine or treatment.

Further guidance on fall events will be provided in the summer.
