New Hope Club Stops By Z100

New Hope Club, the British three-piece are quickly becoming one of the hottest emerging bands out of the UK. Over the past 18 months, they have released buzz tracks, posted covers of their favorite artists online and toured relentlessly around the world.

The boys – Blake Richardson, Reece Bibby and George Smith – met in a somewhat modern-day conventional way. George, then 15, first picked up a guitar nine years ago when he stumbled on his father’s old electric; he taught himself Beatles classics before learning how to write original songs and performing them in every pub that would let him play. By the age of 15, he was already doing around 160 gigs a year. He then caught the attention of Prestige Management (The Vamps, McFly) after posting videos of himself covering hit songs on YouTube. The idea of him starting a band was raised, so he began trawling the internet – the same way he’d been discovered – looking for prospective bandmates. He found Blake – together they stumbled on Reece and knew instantly that he was the final piece of the puzzle.
