Billie Eilish Becomes Youngest Grammy Winner To Sweep All 4 Main Awards

Billie Eilish made history with her clean sweep at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards Sunday night (January 26).

Not only did the “I Love You” singer-songwriter win five of the six trophies for which she was nominated, the 18-year-old became the youngest artist ever to claim all four general-field categories in a single night. Following last night's show, Eilish walked away with Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her smash hit “Bad Guy,” Best New Artist, and Album of the Year for her debut LP, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

In addition to standing out as the youngest contender to be nominated in all four main categories, she is also the first woman to bring them all home.

With her latest wins, the teenager follows in the groundbreaking footsteps of her fellow pop contemporary Lorde, who, since 2013, remains the youngest winner to claim the Grammy for Song of the Year (“Royals”) at the age of 17. "I never thought this would happen in my whole life,” Eilish told the crowd while accepting the trophy alongside brother and co-writer Finneas O’Connell. “I feel like I jump around at these things and I never take anything seriously, but I genuinely want to say that I'm so grateful and I'm honored to be here.”

Apart from collecting her earnings, Eilish also charmed audience members with a haunting rendition of her infectious ballad, “When the Party’s Over,” which also appears off her debut album. The pop star will also embark on a new world tour this March in support of the effort — grab your tickets here.
