According to KATU the very last of the iconic PDX carpet will be gone forever. Concourse A, where travelers could find the last of the classic PDX carpet, closed Thursday and will soon be demolished. Concourse A is being torn down so Concourse B can be expanded. The closure primarily impacts Alaska Air and Horizon Air flights. These two airlines called Concourse A home, but they’ll relocate to Concourse C during construction. Over the past few years, some business were lucky enough to garnish some of the old carpet, cleaned it up and resold pieces of it in their stores. (google it)
But who knows, you might be able to get your last glimpse of the carpet if concourse A isn't completely sealed off in the next week or so.
