Watching Christmas Films Is Good For You, Study Says

Watching some favourites like Elf, Home Alone and The Grinch can instantly boost levels of happiness, according to an expert in these things. This is because the hormone dopamine is released when you watch some of the festive classics which could, in turn, make you healthier and live longer. Speaking to website DoYouRemember, a psychologist explained: "It does create that neurological shift that can produce happiness.

"I think anything that takes us out of our normal habituation, the normal day in, day out, signals our senses, and then our senses measure if it's pleasing or not. Christmas decorating will spike dopamine, a feel-good hormone."

The website went on to touch on the reason behind why Christmas films are played in schools to provide children with wholesome content, promoting positivity and inspiration. So don't be a Grinch
