95% of Baby Food Contains Toxic Metal, New Study Says

The metals found in the study were lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury. The study tested the big name brands as well as the smaller brands and found that the foods with the worse amounts were made with rice, sweet potatoes, and fruit juices. According to physicians, the safe baby foods contain pureed veggies, salmon, peanut butter, avocado, and oatmeal. The report, published at HealthyBabyFood.org, tested 168 baby products from major U.S. manufacturers. 94% of those products contained lead, while about 75% contained arsenic or cadmium and 32% contained mercury. 25% of the foods contained all four!
