Has an animal ever asked you for help? A woman told police in Virginia that a squirrel did exactly that. The Pulaski Police Department posted the unusual encounter on their Facebook page. Tia Powell says she was walking along a park trail when the squirrel blocked her path. She decided to follow it and the animal led her to its injured young. Not figuring there was much she could do, Powell began to walk away. That's when the squirrel chased her back down and tugged at her pant leg. Noticing a nearby cat licking its chops, Powell decided to call police and a friend. Responding officers say both squirrels were sitting along with the women when they arrived. The animals were put back in a tree but police say, despite calling numerous animal rescue and rehab agencies, they weren't able to transport the injured squirrel for attention.
