33 Victims Died In Massive Boat Fire In California (GoFundMe Campaign)

Coast Guard officials have recovered the bodies of 33 people who died in a massive fire aboard Conception that started as the 75-foot vessel was anchored off the coast of Santa Cruz Island on Labor Day. One person is still missing, authorities said Wednesday. Sad to hear of all these people looking to have a fun and memorable Labor Day weekend.

It comes with great sadness to say I knew one of the victims. Nicole Quitasol. I worked with her at a radio station in Stockton, Ca for a few years. She was an amazing human being. “Every human being has an impact on another”, and she did on everyone she came in contact with! Nicole was always fun to be around. We lost a great one. I'm sorry to hear this news, and I feel for the rest of her family and friends. Nicole's father, stepmom and 2 of her sisters also were on that boat and did not make it. A GoFundMe campaign is raising money to help with the funeral costs of the five family members.
