This is the shocking moment a 74 year old woman was left spinning out of control while being rescued by helicopter. She had become stuck on a hiking trail. The stretcher which she was attached to began to spin. According to the pilots who flew the helicopter, the accident happened because a guide rope designed to prevent spinning broke. Combined with the downdraft from the chopper, the poor woman was left rapidly spinning out of control. Thankfully, the woman suffered no injuries as a result of the spinning.
