Big League Chew Bubble Gum has been around for years and for the first time in their history they have added a woman to the outside of their packaging. The package has featured a cartoon male baseball player for the past 40 years. The new female character was created by Amanda MacFarlane, a freelance character designer who also happens to be the daughter of former Major League shortstop Bobby Bonner. The company said that the female softball player won’t replace the traditional male but instead will be “batting right alongside him.” Do you feel like all companies should follow suit and make packaging more inclusive?
