The Tigard K9-5K Run/Walk and Doggie Dash was originally created to help the Police Dept raise funds for a second police dog. Over the last 5 years the monies accomplished this goal (“Diesel” joined the force in 2015) plus helped the department with ongoing needs for the unit that aren't covered in the budget. The funds also helped with the acquisition of “Rico” who replaced “Baxter”, a 7 year veteran dog, who retired in 2016. Being able to have 2 K9's and their partners at the Tigard Police Department provides a huge service to the community allowing a K9 to be available 24/7 to respond to calls. Bring your pooch and have some fun in support of the Tigard Police Department!

•Proceeds support the community through the Tigard Police K9 unit
•Participants encouraged to arrive between 7:30AM-8:00AM
•5K starts 9AM
•Pancake breakfast follows the 5K
•Event runs 7:30AM to 10:30AM
