California Becomes 1st State To Ban Sale Of Products Testing On Animals

First smoking and plastic grocery bags, then straws and now California has become the first state to ban the sale of products tested on animals. The California Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act, SB 1249 was passed on Tuesday and makes it illegal to “knowingly sell any cosmetics or hygiene products that have any component in them that has been tested on animals within state limits.” The law goes into effect January 1, 2020. Are labels like organic, cruelty-free, etc. a factor in purchasing products? Bravo CA!
