Fox 12 reported on July 7th, that this September, Kah-Nee-Ta, the resort is central Oregon will close it's doors for good.
Kah-Nee-Ta resort offers horse back riding, hot springs pool, mini golf, kayaking, and a multitude of other activities.
According to a report from Fox 12, the notice was given to employees on Friday. The closure is described as permanent in the letter and all 146 employees will be laid off. The letter stated that "“However, with no lease in place, the resort cannot continue operating below a self-sustaining level. This is necessary to ensure we protect any further risk to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs."
