Justin Timberlake is supporting the #TIMESUP movement at the Golden Globes this weekend, but some Twitter users are calling the singer/actor out for hypocrisy. Timberlake tweeted Sunday, Timberlake tweeted, “Here we come!! And my wife is hot! #TIMESUP #whywewearblack." Many of his followers were quick to point out that he recently starred in Woody Allen’s recent movie, “Wonder Wheel.” Allen has been accused of sexual assault in the past. One user tweeted at Timberlake, “If you truly believe times up then don’t work with Woody.”
You starred in Woody Allen's new movie. You built a career on malicious misogyny towards Britney Spears. You left Janet Jackson out to dry. This is pure performative fraud.— Amoreena (@lilblondeduck) January 7, 2018
Wearing a Time's Up pin while working with Woody Allen is hypocrisy. If you stand with women, stop defending and protecting predators.— Camper Calamity (@marielecun) January 8, 2018
Okay, you've got the "Time's Up" black shirt on. Good for you.— Cait Featherstone (@cvfeatherstone) January 7, 2018
Can you try to not work for Woody Allen again? Cha-Ching.
