Texas & Mississippi Opening Businesses & Concert Venues To 100% Capacity

Both Texas and Mississippi are allowing businesses to reopen at 100 percent capacity - and that includes live concerts. A spokesperson for Texas Gov. Greg Abbott confirmed that live concerts and sporting events were included under the reopening. Venues will be free to enforce their own rules for mask-wearing and social distancing, but the state won't add any restrictions. Despite the reopening, many state health officials are warning against returning to full capacity. Mississippi state health officer Thomas Dobbs said "There's no way in heck I would go sit in a crowded bar right now".

Tate Reeves (Governor of Mississippi) said, "Starting tomorrow, we are lifting all of our county mask mandates and businesses will be able to operate at full capacity without any state-imposed rules. Our hospitalizations and case numbers have plummeted, and the vaccine is being rapidly distributed. It is time!"

Would you go to a live concert right now? What do you think will be the impact of Texas and Mississippi reopening?
