Passenger Opens Emergency Exit On Plane, Mistook Door For Restroom

A Pakistan International Airlines flight was delayed when a passenger opened the emergency exit thinking it was the door to the bathroom. The plane was still on the ground at Manchester Airport in England preparing to leave for Islamabad. The exit slide deployed and the Friday incident caused a seven-hour delay. Forty passengers had to removed from the plane. No one was injured. The offloaded passengers were provided with transportation and hotel accommodation and will be adjusted on the next available flight,” the airline said. Some of those passengers complained that their baggage had been left behind in Manchester.
