Pete Davidson Opens Up About Ariana Grande Breakup

Pete Davidson had his first stand up show in Boston following a whirlwind break up from Ariana Grande, and a serious mental health breakdown. After dating, becoming engaged, breaking up, and then having a song released about you in just a few short months is going to take a toll on anyone.

Davidson has been apart of Saturday Night Live since September 27, 2014 and has had moderate fame since. Being on SNL will always grant you a name and a steady flow of gigs, but what really brought the comedian fame was when he began dating pop sensation Ariana Grande.

During his sold out Boston set The New York Times reports that Davidson began to speak on his quick romance with Grande, "When you get dumped..." and then quickly added, "I’ll stop if you’re going to be stupid," after the crowd began it's applause. E! news reports that he even touched on overnight success of thank u,next. "Here's the thing about the breakup song. Usually breakup songs you know who it's about but you don't really know. That G named all of us. Bam. She named all of us. And then, tells us, yeah, he has a big dick."

He even recalls it being a "sad day" as the song was released moments before SNL was meant to air for the night, saying that while listening to it, him and his friends commented that "it's not that bad for you."

One of the hardest parts for Davidson was that his mother, a school nurse, had one student start singing the song to her in the hallway. He said that "she was walking in the hallway and some little f--king kid started singing 'Thank U Next' to her. Me, I get it, but my mom?"

At the end of the day, we are happy to see that Pete Davidson is starting to do better.
