Executive Director and Co-Founder Alison Hicks and the COO and Co-Founder Jason Hicks, stopped by the studio to talk about the Chelsea Hicks Foundation.
The Chelsea Hicks Foundation was inspired by a little girl named Chelsea who lost her battle to cancer back in 2009 at only 5 years of age. She loved to play dress up and have tea parties with all her friends while she was seeking treatment in the hospital. It was from her love of life and dressing up where Chelsea's Closet came to be.
The Chelsea's Closet is a traveling closet full of costumes and accessories brought to children hospitals right here in Oregon. They currently visit the Doernbecher and Randall Children's Hospitals once each month. Their goal is to bring smiles and hope to young patients and create memories for a lifetime.
With Halloween right around the corner, there is still time to drop off a NEW costume at the California Pizza Kitchen located at Bridgeport Village now through October 31st! When you dine with them, mention the Chelsea Hicks Foundation and 20% of your check will be donated to the organization.
