Fitbit Recalling Almost 2 Million Smartwatches With Overheating Battery

Fitbit is recalling 1.7 million smartwatches over a faulty battery that can burn the user. The company says the battery inside the Fitbit Ionic Smartwatch can overheat and possibly cause a serious burn. 78 burn incidents have been reported in the U.S. so far, with six of them involving second or third-degree burns. Customers should stop using their smartwatches and return them for a refund.
