A very strong storm blew into the Northwest Saturday morning. On the Oregon Coast, a High Wind Warning is in effect Saturday. Gusts on the beaches could reach 60 m.p.h., but they could be higher at exposed and elevated areas. The Astoria Megler Bridge had a gust of 79 m.p.h. and a weather station on Naselle Ridge in Pacific County, Washington had a gust of 93 m.p.h.

The National Weather Service has a Wind Advisory is in effect for the Willamette Valley, Portland, Vancouver and Southwest Washington with gusts possible to 50 miles an hour. Portland International Airport recorded a gust of 43 m.p.h.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Cascdes with up to two feet of snow by Sunday.
