The flyover ramp from northbound Interstate 5 to OR 217 will close from 10 p.m. Thursday, May 15 to 2 a.m. Friday, May 16 as surveyors evaluate the bridge.

During the ramp closure, travelers can use the Kruse Way off-ramp, exit 292B, to reach OR 217 northbound.

After a series of crashes within a short period of time, ODOT placed additional advisory speed signs to alert drivers to slow down to the advisory speed limit of 35 miles-per-hour. Since then, ODOT has been evaluating the condition of the ramp, which involves coordination with bridge, traffic and roadway experts.

During the Thursday night closure, surveyors will evaluate the flyover ramp. On Friday, ODOT will test the road surface friction.

In the coming days, ODOT will study the data collected in these evaluations. As ODOT works to determine if any changes have taken place recently on the ramp, drivers are reminded they can always stay safe by following the ramp advisory speed of 35 mph.
