A driver on Rambler Drive NE in Marion County noticed gravel on the road around 4:30 a.m. Friday. The driver stopped to investigate and found a car had driven off the road and rolled down the hillside. The engine was still running and the driver was trapped inside, because the rood was crushed.
Marion County Fire District 1 responded and used the Jaws of Life to pull the roof off the driver and cut the person free from the vehicle. The patient was taken to Salem Hospital.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
